Mark Schettenhelm A great collection of songs from Detroit-based songwriters united with the unique Kate Hinote Trio sound. Starting with the ethereal, yet powerful voice of Kate Hinote, joined by Matthew Parmenter on violin, and David Johnson on acoustic guitar. Matthew can make his one violin play many parts, even somehow being a backup vocal - just listen carefully to see. David, well, it's all there, the piece that is the foundation and really makes this work. This is an album that rewards on re-listening. Favorite track: Make Me Stop.

Boris Stalf That’s a relaxing album carried by the beautiful voice of Kate, with support from just violin and guitar.

„Where you dream now“ could easily be hit❣️ Favorite track: Where You Dream Now.

Make Me Stop 04:09
Please wait until it’s dark, you won’t last if every time you fell down I, I wouldn’t laugh It’s never a good time to talk to you but i won’t let up If you’d had enough, you’d do anything to make me stop if you feel like waking up, I’ll go anywhere but we should start, we should start Took every part of me from my mouth So thoughtful of feelings you don’t, you don’t allow it’s never a good time to talk to you but i won’t give up If you’d had enough, you’d do anything to make me stop when you feel like waking up, we’ll go everywhere but we should start, we should start

The Road 02:41
Wander in a desert parlor Black ties and a reverend hollers Some dreams are a fading blast and Between there’s a certain past and Oh, we stumble down the road Fables are an endless river Tick tock, you’re the next contestant Wading in your sea of madness No fear, they don’t see your sadness Oh, we stumble down the road Crawling for a pennied pocket We’re all here and you let us watch it Say it all in peace with a constant tension We all know, it just needs attention Oh, we stumble down the road

I will reside in silent motion Windows of pain flash I don’t care what walls I’ve found The only thing I want is ground Presented with notions of denial Berated hearts beat and reach, colliding in a time The storms you wish for won’t arrive Fear can cover the world and I will doubt Found me in the dark and dug me out You will know everything I won’t tell where you dream now Reasoning for your self destruction I say it depends on if you sought to douse the flames And be engulfed that way again You’re given a choice, but won’t forget (it) Unending belief in grief Sustains the poetry You give more than I need to take Fear can cover the world and I will doubt Found me in the dark and dug me out You will know everything I won’t tell where you dream now   Holding there, impatiently And see stars, in front of me You can love eternally And defend tragedy A witness with wonder and compulsion It doesn’t explain the way you dream in spite of me And with such certainty, I fall Competing with time that’s not your own Suddenly scheming I can see the path you lead The way is clear, so you believe Fear can cover the world and I will doubt Found me in the dark and dug me out You will know everything I won’t tell where you dream now Where you dream now Where you dream now

They wouldn’t believe me no matter how I tried I said there’s gotta be reasons that people keep leaving She couldn’t have asked me and I wouldn’t say why This game is for nothing If I don’t believe in it Now I’m drawn to her like the moon draws water With each little slight there are cracks that are built upon The craziest moment was when Defeating it felt like a beating Never declining a chance to be heard and seen If there isn’t anything else Who’s listening to this nonsense? Some are drawn to her like the moon draw water Measured out it’s just this I pretend I can’t split Even now I can’t find my way out Serving in silence While waiting for nothing She gave me a reason This game is for nothing If I don’t believe in it Still I’m drawn to her like the moon draws water
